The diagnosis is made through a direct examination if there is a skin lesion, a blood test and urine analysis will be conducted; if there is discharge or sores, a swab test is performed.

Results are obtained the following day.

If there is genital discharge, treatment is offered in the office.

Anonymous testing is available upon request.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are mandatory notifiable diseases in Switzerland, except for genital herpes and genital warts
